Finding a tutor: To search for available tutors, login to our tutoring schedule. All students, staff, and faculty must login to view the schedule. Use the dropdown menu at the top of the page to filter the schedule by course number or name.
Appointments: Appointments are available, and encouraged, for most CLASS tutoring hours. This is the best way to ensure 1-on-1 time with a tutor. If you would like to make a group appointment with a tutor, have one member of your group schedule the appointment and indicate the number in your group in the comments field.
Walk-ins: If an appointment time is not reserved, you are welcome to walk-in to CLASS and meet with the available tutor.
Drop-in Only: For hours listed as drop-in only, appointments cannot be made in advance. During drop-in hours the tutor will often be working with more than one student at a time, either as a group, or with multiple students simultaneously.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if there are no appointments available?
Add yourself to the wait list! Click the clock icon next to the day of the week on the schedule. On the popup form, choose the tutor for the subject area that you need tutoring in, and the times that you are available. If someone cancels an appointment, or is marked as a no-show, everyone on the waiting list will receive a notification that the time is available to be scheduled.
What if I am late for my appointment?
You are expected to arrive on time to your tutoring appointment. If you do not arrive within 10 minutes of your appointment start time, you will be marked as a no-show, and your appointment time will be forfeited. After 3 no-shows, you will be restricted from the system for the remainder of the semester.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
You may cancel an appointment at any time. If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please cancel it so that another student may use the time. If you do not cancel an appointment and do not show up in time, you will be marked as a no-show. After 3 no-shows, you will be restricted from the system for the remainder of the semester.
