Poll Everywhere
Pacific University subscribes to the polling app, Poll Everywhere. The Poll Everywhere app allows a presenter to ask the audience questions, which they can answer in real-time using a mobile phone or a web browser. The presenter can project the responses to the audience, generate reports, and save questions for future use. In the classroom, Poll Everywhere can be used for everything from quick reading quizzes to choosing snacks for the end-of-term party. This app can be especially useful for in-class “temperature checks,” exit surveys, and other formative assessments.

Like many web apps, Poll Everywhere offers a free version with basic features. To try out the free version and start using Poll Everywhere, you can go to polleverywhere.com and create an account. If you have more than 30 students or are interested in more robust reporting features, you will need to contact the Center for Educational Technology and Curricular Innovation (CETCI) for a subscriber account. CETCI staff can also provide guidance on how to use Poll Everywhere in your teaching and learning.
