Community Patrons

The library supports surrounding communities by making resources available to members of various groups. Below are the group affiliations, what resources are available, and how those resources may be accessed.

Affiliation Resources Access Campus
Alumni Books, CD’s DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents.

Onsite computers. Request access at the Circulation Desk.

Bring your photo ID or an ID from the Alumni Association.

Materials may be used in the library without registering.

Forest Grove and Hillsboro
Domestic partner or family member of Pacific University faculty, staff, or student Books, CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents.

Onsite computers. Request access at the Circulation Desk.

The Pacific University member must be present and the domestic partner or family member must bring a photo ID at the time of registration.

Materials may be used in the library without registering.

Forest Grove and Hillsboro
Early Learning Community Up to five (5) items: books, CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents.

Onsite computers. Request access at the Circulation Desk.

An ELC student must have a signed permission form from their legal guardian.

Materials may be used in the library without registering.

Forest Grove
Guest sponsored by University Books, CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents. May have access to interlibrary loan requests if the sponsoring department gives permission.

Onsite computers. Request access at the Circulation Desk.

Different levels of access are assigned by the University Information Systems department and the sponsoring department. For example: preceptors, who are issued a Boxer ID, are given full faculty level access to library resources.

NAPCU (Northwest Association of Private College and University Libraries) Books, CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents.

PAHL (Portland Academic Health Science Libraries) Books, CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents.

Onsite computers. Request access at the Circulation Desk.

PAHL includes libraries from the National College of Natural Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and University of Western States.

Bring in your current ID from a member library.

Materials may be used in the library without registering.

Forest Grove and Hillsboro
WCCLS (Washington County Cooperative Library Services) Books, CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s, and government documents.

Onsite computers. Request access at the Circulation Desk.

Bring in your photo ID and a referral letter from any WCCLS Library showing your name, address, telephone number and email address. The referral must be signed by a WCCLS staff member and dated the same day as your visit to Pacific.
